Java Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst

As an Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst at our company, your role will involve participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your objective is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. **Role Overview:** You will be a Senior Developer with strong analytical and technical abilities, having over 5 years of experience in enterprise Web applications, REST services, and Workflow Processing Service development using Java/J2EE technologies. You should be comfortable working with Oracle (PL/SQL) and/or NoSQL-Mongo as a backend database. Strong insight into OOPS concepts and hands-on experience with Java (version 1.8 or above) and other Java-based frameworks like Spring Batch, Spring IOC, Spring Annotation, and Spring Security is required. Experience with messaging platforms like Kafka and knowledge of in-memory distributed caches, BPMN Framework, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift will be beneficial. Working in an Agile/DevOps Environment is also expected. **Key Responsibilities:** - Be a seasoned SME and technical specialist in Client Onboarding/AML/KYC/Account Opening domain - Employ standards, frameworks, and patterns while designing and developing components - Implement and maintain a suite of Workflow driven Java applications with RESTful services - Develop high-quality code following software engineering and testing best practices - Hands-on coding, authoring unit tests/Junit, performance tests, and maintaining high code quality - React and provide quick turnaround to business requirements and management requests - Partner with database developers to implement ingestion, orchestration, quality/reconciliation, and distribution services - Ability to work independently, good communication skills, and experience in working on complex and medium to large projects **Qualifications Required:** - 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry - Intermediate level experience in Applications Development role - Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication - Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills - Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
