Role Overview:
As an IT Network & Security Engineer at our company in Chennai, you will be responsible for managing and securing the enterprise-wide network infrastructure. Your role will involve handling L1L3 support tickets, designing and implementing secure network solutions, and ensuring compliance with organizational and industry standards. You will play a crucial part in managing LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, Data Center, and hybrid cloud environments, as well as managing firewalls, VPNs, and NAC systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and Data Center networks.
- Develop scalable, resilient, and compliant network security architectures.
- Configure and manage next-generation firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
- Maintain access control, VPN configurations, and network segmentation policies.
- Resolve L1, L2, and L3 support tickets related to network and security issues.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and security concerns across enterprise systems.
- Deploy and manage IPSec, SSL, DMVPN, and Remote Access VPNs.
- Implement and manage NAC solutions (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass).
- Ensure role-based, identity-driven access for enhanced security.
- Design and enforce security controls in Azure and AWS environments.
- Implement and manage NSGs, WAFs, CASBs, and SASE architectures.
- Use tools such as ManageEngine, SolarWinds, and PRTG for proactive monitoring.
- Conduct periodic audits, risk assessments, and maintain compliance documentation.
- Configure and manage Cisco Access, Core, and Nexus switches.
- Oversee lifecycle management of switching infrastructure.
- Work with IT operations, compliance, and DevOps teams to improve security posture.
- Recommend and review emerging network security solutions.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years of experience in IT network and security.
