Job Description
As an IT Asset & Procurement Specialist (Microsoft Licensing Focus), your role involves end-to-end management of IT assets and software licenses, particularly Microsoft licensing. You will be responsible for accurate tracking, compliance, cost optimization, and audit readiness within an SLA-driven environment. Strong vendor negotiation skills are required to drive commercial value, and rotational shifts may be involved to support global operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets, track inventories, and ensure compliance with ITAM policies.
- Partner with IT, procurement, finance, and operations teams for optimal asset allocation.
- Prepare reports on asset utilization, performance, depreciation, and lifecycle cost efficiency.
- Manage Microsoft licensing portfolios, track license consumption, renewals, and lead commercial discussions with Microsoft partners.
- Ensure assets, licensing, and procurement activities meet defined SLA requirements and maintain audit readiness.
- Identify and implement improvements in IT Asset Management and procurement workflows.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate commercial terms for hardware, software, and licensing services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, or IT Procurement.
- Proven experience in vendor negotiation and commercial contract management.
- Robust experience with Microsoft Licensing.
- ITIL Certification mandatory.
- Experience in SLA-driven environments.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of compliance, audit processes, and ITAM/SAM frameworks.
Performance Indicators:
- Accuracy and completeness of asset and licensing records.
- On-time completion of audits, renewals, and SLA commitments.
- Cost savings achieved through effective vendor and licensing negotiations.
- Reduction in compliance risks, discrepancies, and asset losses.
