As a Technical Lead - Data Engineering at WebMD Health Corp., an Internet Brands Company, you will play a key role in designing and managing scalable data architectures to meet business needs and performance requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Demonstrating expertise in Infrastructure & ETL development by setting up environments, tool installations, and cloud services. - Utilizing DevOps practices and working with cloud infrastructure services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Showcasing advanced SQL skills with MPP databases like BigQuery, Redshift, and RDBMS like Postgres, Oracle. - Having hands-on experience in Linux environments, scripting, Airflow installation, configuration, and DAG development. - Understanding infrastructure concepts like system design, server setup, user/role management, and performance tuning. - Designing and implementing large-scale data solutions using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) and versioning tools like Git. - Managing data storage solutions like data warehouses and data lakes across hybrid and cloud-based environments. - Enforcing data governance, quality, and security standards to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance. - Optimizing complex SQL queries on traditional and cloud-native databases and handling end-to-end Linux-based server setups. - Monitoring and troubleshooting data infrastructure and pipeline issues to ensure high availability and reliability. - Conducting performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs and database systems to support growing data volumes. - Promoting best practices in code quality, documentation, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). - Participating in infrastructure planning and contributing to strategic decisions for tool and platform adoption. - Providing hands-on support for tool deployments and environment setups across product teams. - Leading and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
