Head - Operations (Pharmacy & Laboratory Services)

As the Vertical Head (Operations) for Pharmacy and Laboratory Services at Rajalakshmi Medical College and Hospital, your role will involve leading and overseeing the end-to-end operations of Pharmacy and Laboratory services across multiple locations. You will be responsible for ensuring standardization, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, cost control, and service quality across all units. **Key Responsibilities:** - Oversee daily operations of all Pharmacy and Lab units across locations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to institutional protocols. - Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for pharmacy and lab operations to ensure consistency and compliance. - Coordinate with medical, academic, and administrative teams to support patient care and academic activities. - Monitor inventory management, procurement, and distribution to maintain optimal stock levels and cost control. - Ensure timely maintenance, calibration, and validation of all laboratory and pharmacy equipment. - Drive performance metrics, quality assurance, and internal audits across all centers. - Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities for licensing, inspections, and certifications. - Prepare operational budgets and reports for management review. - Lead and mentor operational teams, ensuring effective manpower planning, training, and performance monitoring. - Initiate process improvement and digitization initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Education: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy / Medical Lab Technology / Hospital Administration; Masters in Healthcare or Hospital Management preferred. - Experience: Minimum 1012 years of experience in healthcare operations with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing multi-location pharmacy and/or laboratory services. - Preferred Background: Experience in a medical college, teaching hospital, or large healthcare network. **Key Skills & Competencies:** - Strong leadership and people management skills. - In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, NABH/NABL standards. - Strategic planning and multi-site operational management. - Excellent communication and vendor management skills. - Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability.
