Job Description
As the Head of Sales at Vittam, a business vertical of EduFund, you will have a crucial leadership role in revenue generation, P&L accountability, and driving company growth. Your responsibilities will include developing new business, managing a dynamic team, and enhancing mutual fund distribution and sales of diverse asset classes within the BFSI sector. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities:
- **Strategic Sales Leadership:** Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and P&L targets, identifying new business opportunities and market trends.
- **Mutual Fund Distribution & Growth:** Lead and expand mutual fund distribution channels to increase Assets Under Management (AUM) and stay updated on market trends.
- **Sub-Broker Network Development:** Strategize and execute the growth and management of a strong sub-broker network, including recruitment, training, and relationship building to maximize productivity and ensure compliance.
- **Diversified Asset Class Sales:** Facilitate the sale of other asset classes by training the sales team and sub-brokers, and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
- **Team Leadership:** Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- **Client Management & Analysis:** Build strong client relationships, conduct market research, and report on sales performance to inform strategic decisions.
- **Compliance:** Ensure all sales activities and sub-broker operations adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
**Specific Criteria Required:**
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales within the financial sector, particularly in the Mutual Fund industry.
- Experience in handling B2B sales is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial investment products like mutual funds, wealth management, etc.
- Experience in fintech or wealth management is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or other relevant advanced qualifications are a plus.
**Skills & Competencies:**
- Deep understanding of the financial services industry, investment products, and market trends.
- Proven ability in managing P&L, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment with flexibility and an entrepreneurial spirit.
