Job Description

As a Group Head in Accounting, Consolidation & Reporting, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting matters of a leading Indian conglomerate. Your role will involve handling the implementation of new accounting standards, consolidation tools, and accounting issues related to acquisitions/disposals of JVs/Subsidiaries. Additionally, you will be involved in impairments, fair valuation, and managing consolidation at both parent and sector levels. You will also support the CFO in M&A and fund raising activities. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the Groups financial reporting obligations, including preparation and review of compliant consolidated accounts and standalone financials as per SEBI and Companies Act 2013 requirements. - Build productive relationships with stakeholders to understand their financial information needs and align key business strategies. - Present financial information to promotors, senior executives, stakeholders, Audit committee, and board members. - Establish and implement financial reporting systems, including new accounting standards. - Collaborate to design, implement, and review finance systems, policies, and procedures for continuous improvement. - Handle technical accounting matters and complex issues across all sectors of operation, working closely with statutory auditors. - Manage complex valuation matters for equity valuation and impairment milestone valuation. - Consolidate annual/monthly budgets effectively. Qualification & Experience: - Qualified Chartered Accountant with 18+ years of experience in financial statement consolidation of listed entities. - Experience in Ind AS/IFRS, MIS, Valuation, fund-raising, and merger & demerger activities. - Proficient in handling financial information required for fund raising purposes and coordinating with bankers, lawyers, and auditors. - Strong analytical skills for trends analysis and data compilation. - Ability to coach and mentor team members for professional development. - Proficiency in Microsoft applications. - International exposure for interaction with International Partners and auditors.
