Job Description
You will be joining The Celestial Earth (TCE), a group of internationally acclaimed professionals specializing in policy research and consulting in domains such as energy, water, climate change, and natural resource management. TCE also addresses urban development, environmental pollution, and transportation issues. The primary objective of TCE is to facilitate scientific and model-based policy development and implementation, leveraging data science and analytics for successful policy outcomes. Furthermore, TCE collaborates with renowned research and development organizations to foster knowledge exchange and collaborative development initiatives.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- M.E / M.Tech in Remote Sensing and GIS/Geo-informatics / Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Hands-on experience and familiarity with GIS software such as ArcGIS, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, Erdas, ENVI.
- Proficiency in Google Earth Engine (GEE) and strong knowledge of scripting in Python, R with Geo-spatial libraries.
- Sound knowledge on AI-ML to automate spatial data tasks using AI-ML.
- Ability to comprehend machine learning models like ANN, CNN.
- Expertise in spatial analysis and modeling (e.g., Flood, Climate, Disaster, Utility mapping).
- Experience with Flood modeling software like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWAT.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS portal and web app Builder, Open source tool integration.
- Familiarity with Geo-server, Analyzing tools, Dashboard preparation.
- Proficient in visualizing and interpreting Remote sensing and GIS data.
- Experience in handling publicly available GIS datasets, crowd-sourcing platforms like OSM.
Please note that TCE is looking for candidates with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in the mentioned key skills. This is a full-time position based in Gurugram, and only experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
