Game Mechanics Analyst

As a Games Mathematician at 1X2 Network, you will be involved in the production, maintenance, and data analysis of online and retail slot games. Your tasks will include developing original concepts, running Monte Carlo simulations, and playtesting games with an internal demo. You will collaborate with internal teams during game development and post-release to maintain and review games on the market. Your day-to-day responsibilities may involve monitoring existing products, internal playtesting/review of current projects, and creating tools in Java/Python to meet specific needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in designing, developing, and delivering new slot games - Take on tasks and projects as directed, communicating progress and delivering results within deadlines - Maintain and monitor existing games developed by the company - Collaborate with colleagues to test out new game ideas **Qualifications Required:** - Three or more (3+) years of experience working with slot game mathematics - Undergraduate/masters degree in mathematics or equivalent in other numerate disciplines such as Statistics, Engineering, or Physics - Proficiency in Combinatorics, Probability Theory, and Quantitative Analysis - Advanced knowledge of Java programming language and Microsoft Excel - Excellent verbal and written communication skills **Desirable Experience:** - Ability to write in the language of mathematics - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts - Proficiency in Java programming language and modular design patterns - Prior experience in running Monte Carlo simulations - Interest in slot games and understanding of the market As the ideal candidate, you will be able to translate complex game concepts into mathematical models, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and proactively generate ideas and solutions.
