Full-Stack Software Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer (SDE-2) at Outsized, you will play a key role in building and maintaining features for our product. You'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ship high-impact functionality that directly improves our product experience. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving real-world problems, is strong across both frontend and backend technologies, and thrives in a growing, agile team. Key Responsibilities: - Write clean, scalable, and efficient code both frontend (React, Next.js) and backend (Node.js, Typescript, Python, AWS Lambda) - Take ownership of technical components, from implementation through testing and deployment - Help maintain a consistent, high-quality user experience across web and mobile views - Work with DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipelines and observability - Participate in code reviews, team stand-ups, and sprint planning Qualifications Required: - 35 years of experience in full-stack product development - Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js - Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs - Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly within serverless architecture (Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, etc.) - Experience with GraphQL - Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases - Strong understanding of scalable system design and web performance optimization - Experience working in agile teams and collaborating across functions - Experience with frameworks such as React, Next.js - Understanding of CSS preprocessors or utility frameworks (SCSS, Tailwind CSS) - Contributions to open source or side projects About Outsized: Outsized is a curated talent marketplace that helps large enterprises in growth markets connect with high-quality, on-demand professional independents.
