Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end operations of a modern iron and steel foundry facility that operates using the Furan Sand Process. Equipped with Fast Loop Line and Large Hand Moulding systems, the foundry focuses on high-volume and precision casting for critical engineering applications weighing 200 kg and above. Your exceptional leadership, deep technical knowledge, and strategic foresight will be crucial in delivering operational efficiency, quality excellence, and strong business outcomes.
- Lead all operational aspects of the foundry, including production, quality, maintenance, and engineering, with a specific focus on large-size precision castings.
- Manage a workforce of 1250 employees, overseeing cross-functional teams in key functions such as Production, Quality, SCM, and Engineering.
- Drive cost-effective operations, optimize resource utilization, and ensure profitability through the implementation of lean practices.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, promote process innovation, and facilitate the adoption of modern foundry technologies.
- Cultivate strong customer relationships, contribute to market intelligence, and support product development and business growth.
- Oversee key supplier relationships, evaluate and implement capex projects for modernization or capacity enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and EHS norms while maintaining the highest product quality standards.
In order to be successful in this role, you should have:
- 20 years of experience in managing large iron/steel foundries, with hands-on experience in Furan / Alpha Set / Pep Set processes.
- Expertise in metallurgy, pattern design, heat treatment, and machining.
- Proven ability to lead large teams and independently manage plant operations.
- A strong network within the Indian foundry and precision engineering ecosystem.
- A degree/diploma in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or Foundry Technology.
