Job Description
As a Financial Reporting Specialist, your role will involve supporting the team in the preparation and distribution of periodic statutory financial statements for various entities worldwide under IFRS/Ind-AS/local GAAP. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information for statutory audits and ensuring timely closure of the audit cycle. Your responsibilities will also include assisting in the preparation of India SOX/IFC controls, working on special automation projects, analysis requests, ad-hoc reporting, and other assigned tasks. It will be crucial for you to maintain a keen eye on deadlines and ensure they are met consistently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team in preparing and distributing periodic statutory financial statements for entities worldwide under IFRS/Ind-AS/local GAAP
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide information for statutory audits and drive the audit cycle to closure
- Assist in the preparation of India SOX/IFC controls
- Work on special automation projects, analysis requests, ad-hoc reporting, and other assigned tasks
- Ensure all deadlines are met
Qualifications:
- Display a strong knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP/Ind-AS, staying updated on changes in guidance
- Experience in preparing/auditing and analyzing financial statements in multiple countries or related data and financial reports
- Experience with SAP and Workiva is advantageous; familiarity with preparing and maintaining SOX controls is a plus
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proactive problem-solving approach with strong written and oral communication skills to interact effectively across all organizational levels
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple assignments efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate for this role is a Chartered Accountant with 5 to 8 years of post-qualification experience. While experience in a Big 4 public accounting firm is desirable, it is not mandatory.
