Job Description
As a Medical Staff member at our institute in Mumbai, you will be required to maintain a professional approach with all patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include providing medical cover, both routine and emergency, in collaboration with other specialties. You must adhere to clinical safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols at all times, such as wearing gloves, aprons, and practicing hand hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical cover, both routine and emergency, working alongside other specialties.
- Participate in classroom and bedside teaching programs for postgraduate students and RMOs.
- Identify complex health problems and report them promptly to the relevant doctor.
- Supervise postgraduate students, with the attending physician ultimately responsible for patient care.
- Collaborate with PG students, nurse team leaders, and Consultants in the daily clinical management of patients.
- Prescribe pain management medicines when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients, family members, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Write treatment orders in capital letters and ensure each treatment sheet is dated, named, and signed.
- Assist consultants during rounds and follow up with patients for further care.
- Prepare discharge summaries and follow on-call and duty rota as per department requirements.
- Contribute to the Quality Improvement Initiative and protocols of the organization.
Qualifications Required:
- MBBS degree
- DNB/MD in Anaesthesia
