Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager at Arctic Wolf, you will play a crucial role in coordinating with teams across different geographies to ensure alignment of all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes with the organization's established policies and objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of the R&D SIEM/XRD Team, you will lead a team of talented engineers working on a state-of-the-art project with a React.js frontend and a Go backend. Your role will require a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to successfully drive project execution. Additionally, you will be a key contributor to longer-term planning and strategy with your Senior Manager/Director. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of frontend and backend engineers. - Oversee the full development cycle of scalable and high-performance applications. - Establish best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment. - Drive continuous improvements in team processes, development methodologies, and engineering culture. - Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining technical excellence. - Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies. - Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent within the team. - Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with AWN's Information Security policies to protect business information. Qualifications Required: - Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver high-quality software solutions. - 10-15 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. - Experience with modern software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices. - Strong experience leading development using Java/Go (Golang)/React. - Management-level familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including data storage and retrieval, serverless computing, optimization, and associated costs. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Background in performance optimization and security best practices. - Experience managing vulnerabilities across a diverse set of dependencies. - Prior experience in security product development. Location and Travel: Arctic Wolf operates in the Indian Time Zone (GMT +5:30) with a hybrid model of work. Employees within a 30-mile radius of an Arctic Wolf office must be present in the office 3 days a week. Ad-hoc infrequent travel (estimated 10%) may be required, including quarterly planning sessions in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
