Engineering Manager (Tech Lead)

Role Overview: As an Engineering Manager at Konrad, you will lead projects and tech teams, provide guidance to software team members through code reviews & mentorship, design software architecture, and actively contribute to projects. You will manage a team of technical staff, providing career guidance, conducting reviews, and aligning with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Manage a team of software developers on a day-to-day basis - Lead performance reviews and career development conversations with your team - Participate in local and global leadership meetings to discuss your team and projects - Write maintainable, testable, and performant software in collaboration with the team - Provide project/program-level leadership, determine technology stack, and work with the technical director and workstream leads - Collaborate with Strategy, Design teams, and clients to define requirements & estimate effort - Mentor the project team, providing feedback and guidance to technical staff - Identify risks and discuss proactively with the team - Research new technology and tools, sharing findings with the team - Communicate clearly and effectively with all team members Qualifications: - 5+ years experience building and delivering modern production-grade web applications in a team environment - Degree in B.Tech Computer Application, B.Tech Computer Science, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bachelor's of Technology, or Computer Science and Engineering - Very strong Java programming skills & experience utilizing Spring Boot or Spring Cloud - Very strong JS framework skills & experience using React, Angular, or similar - Experience working within cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) - Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD - Deep understanding of modern web application components, design patterns, optimization, security - Fundamental knowledge of core web principals (HTTP, DOM, SSL, web servers) - Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive personality, and desire for continuous improvement Additional Company Details: Konrad is committed to maintaining a diverse work environment and is an equal opportunity employer.
