Job Description
- Position: Manager - Electrical Design (Water) Grade M1/M2
- Job Family: Engineering Services-Design
- Summary: Work under Deputy General Manager and prepare the designs of the Pumping Stations/WTP/Small Substations up to 33 kV for Engineering, Proposal and Tendering Support
- Location: Hyderabad
- Reports to: Dy. General Manager Design (Water)
- Key Responsibilities: Detail Engineering:
1. Prepare/ review design and details of electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems and components of required specifications. 2. Prepare/ review design and details of Piping and Instrumentation Diagram and implementation of PLC and SCADA.
3. Detailed engineering for various pumps, electrical motors with all related electrical panels.
4. Give necessary inputs to draftsperson and review drawings of Pump stations, WTP, substation buildings and equipments.
5. Liaising with clients and contractors on day-to-day basis.
6. Technical evaluation and review of vendor documents like GA drawings /Schematic drawings.
7. Technical support to site at the time of project execution and commissioning.
8. Detailed knowledge about selection of pumps, electrical motors, valves etc.
9. Comprehensive understanding of Electrical health and safety requirements.
10. Design experience of water supply/WTP projects will be considered.
Pre-Bid Design:
1. Study of tender documents and prepare technical quarries.
2. Prepare the Bill of quantity for structure and electro-mechanical works for tender estimates.
- Desired qualification: BE/B. Tech (Electrical/Instrumentation)
- Experience required: 3-5 Years as civil structural design engineer
- Key Interactions: Dy. General Manager Design (Water), VP Engineering Services (Civil Designs), VP Regional Operations (Civil)
- Travel Occasional

- Competencies Proficiency Level
- Proficiency in software: Should have knowledge on SCADA for WPT process. / Working knowledge of AutoCAD
