Distributed Control Systems Engineer, Linux

Role Overview: You will be a Systems Engineer at Fluence, focusing on addressing challenges in renewable energy networks, distributed control, and cybersecurity within the global fleet. Your role involves improving system performance, network architecture, and security while providing valuable insights for product development. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and resolve BESS site system issues using Linux, MQTT, Modbus, OPC-UA, XRT, or other protocols to ensure reliable connections. - Identify global fleet performance issues related to network and cybersecurity, proposing and implementing solutions for resilient and secure operations. - Collaborate with various teams to embed technical lessons learned into next-generation product designs. - Manage patch and change management processes for firmware and cyber components of in-service assets. Qualification Required: - 8+ years of experience in Systems, Reliability, or Sustaining Engineering in critical infrastructure. - Proficiency in Linux administration, Cisco networking, and OT cybersecurity principles. - Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as NERC CIP, IEC 62443, and ISO 27001. - Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities. - Certifications like Linux+, Sysadmin, CCNA, CISSP, or equivalent are a plus.
