As a cybersecurity leader in the Network & Information Security group, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing security controls to protect against cyber threats across both application and network layers within the VGS Technology organization. **Role Overview:** As a transformational cybersecurity leader at Verizon, you will elevate cybersecurity practices, identify and reduce cyber risks, implement next-generation cybersecurity architecture, and proactively partner to create advanced policies and controls against future threats. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead a team of cybersecurity engineers, threat intelligence analysts, and risk management personnel - Develop and operationalize metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and tracking for cybersecurity across VGS Network & Infrastructure - Implement and enhance security policies and controls, prioritizing risk level - Drive automation and orchestration of security tools for visibility and prevention - Manage security operations team, budget, and tools expenses - Establish partnerships with industry leaders and forums to assess new trends and solutions - Lead cyber transformation towards Security by Design and Zero Trust principles - Recruit, train, and lead security operations team members - Prepare reports and make presentations on internal investigations, incidents, and violations **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors degree in network engineering, computer science, IT infrastructure, or related discipline - Ten or more years of relevant work experience in Security, IT, and/or Network - Strong knowledge of SDLC and DevSecOps - One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CCIE, CCSK, TOGAF, SABSA - Experience managing a team of technical professionals - Willingness to travel As a cybersecurity leader at Verizon, you will play a crucial role in enhancing cybersecurity practices, leading a team of experts, driving automation and orchestration, and establishing partnerships to stay ahead of cyber threats.
