Director, Engineering

As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, your primary role will be to provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications. Key Responsibilities: - Leverage expert Software Application knowledge and critical technical expertise of software systems to direct and implement technical presentations - Collaborate with high-level stakeholders to determine strategies for addressing customer needs and prioritize resources for debugging critical issues - Influence and communicate guidelines for system architecture and feature-specific customizations tailored for customer requirements - Direct and lead teams in assessing potential application of company products, preparing product specifications, disseminating technical information, and troubleshooting issues - Communicate guidelines for writing and reviewing product technical documentation, application notes, and FAQs Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Applications Engineering experience - 4+ years of experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python - 4+ years of experience with debugging techniques Additional Company Details: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing accessible processes for individuals with disabilities.
