Data Test Analyst

As a Data Test Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and executing data validation and testing strategies for data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting solutions - Validating ETL/ELT processes, including source-to-target mapping and transformation logic - Performing data reconciliation, completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness checks - Developing and executing SQL queries to validate large datasets across multiple sources - Testing data integrations between upstream source systems and downstream analytics platforms - Identifying, logging, and tracking data defects; collaborating with developers and data engineers for resolution - Validating business rules, aggregations, KPIs, and metrics used in dashboards and reports - Supporting UAT and production validation for data releases - Creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test execution reports - Ensuring compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory standards Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong hands-on experience with SQL (joins, subqueries, aggregations, performance validation) - Experience testing data warehouses, data lakes, or big data platforms - Understanding of ETL/ELT tools (Azure Data Factory) - Knowledge of data modeling concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact & dimension tables) - Familiarity with data quality frameworks and validation techniques - Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication skills for collaboration with technical and business stakeholders Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud data platforms (Azure) - Knowledge of big data technologies (Databricks, Azure Data Bricks) - Experience testing BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) - Exposure to test automation for data (Python, PyTest) - Understanding of data governance, lineage, and metadata management In this role, you will be required to have the qualifications necessary for success.
