Data Scientist/Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview: ThreatXIntel, a startup cyber security company based in Chennai, is seeking experienced Data Scientists / Machine Learning Engineers to join their team. As part of the team, you will be responsible for designing, training, and deploying ML models for NLP, CV, and GenAI use cases. You will work on real-world enterprise problems, taking models from experimentation to production, and building semantic search and retrieval pipelines using vector databases. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong ML fundamentals, production mindset, and business acumen. Key Responsibilities: - Design, train, and deploy ML models for NLP, CV, and GenAI use cases - Build semantic search and retrieval pipelines using vector databases - Perform EDA, curate datasets, and drive data-centric ML improvements - Implement similarity search techniques such as cosine similarity, dot-product, clustering, and ANN - Develop ML pipelines using Python and Hugging Face ecosystem - Containerize ML workloads using Docker and deploy via Kubernetes - Debug Docker / ML runtime issues and optimize model performance - Stay current with GenAI and Agentic AI trends Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience with ML frameworks - Practical experience in text + image processing (CV + NLP) - Familiarity with GenAI concepts and Agentic AI - Experience with FAISS, Milvus, Pinecone, or similar ANN libraries - Strong Python skills - Experience with Azure or any major cloud platform - Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes - Ability to analyze Docker errors for ML workloads - Data-centric approach including EDA, dataset quality, and feature curation - Business acumen and outcome-driven ML delivery Note: This is a strict Work From Office role based in Chennai (no remote / hybrid).
