Cyber Security Analyst

Role Overview: You will be involved in the testing, implementation, and operation of secure state-of-the-art internet-facing services, systems, networks, and database products in both hosted and cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include conducting risk assessments, providing recommendations for system and application design, participating in various security activities, and ensuring solution requirements meet timing, technical, and financial constraints. Additionally, you will be responsible for integrating new features into existing solutions, using advanced forensic tools and techniques for investigation and attack reconstruction, and interacting with internal groups and external entities. Key Responsibilities: - Operation of infrastructure and application vulnerability detection systems - Conducting penetration testing and resolving vulnerabilities - Reviewing and validating vulnerability findings - Working with stakeholders to resolve vulnerabilities - Analyzing log data for emerging or unusual patterns - Modifying, creating, or proposing alerts for events of interest - Monitoring common channels for priority communications - Ensuring systems meet documented standards - Assisting with obtaining or creating artifacts for audit and compliance - Handling request and incident ticket intake and escalation - Learning and documenting common processes with senior resources - Participating in on-call rotation - Assisting with disaster recovery and incident response testing and processes - Researching and testing emerging threats Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of general technology experience - 1+ years of general security experience - Familiarity with basic information security practices - Familiarity with Kali Linux and security tools - Desire for growth and development of security skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong ability to multi-task, react, and think quickly - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality - Must be flexible enough to work overtime when needed Role Overview: You will be involved in the testing, implementation, and operation of secure state-of-the-art internet-facing services, systems, networks, and database products in both hosted and cloud environments.
