Job Description
As a Customer Support Engineer for Building Management System (BMS) / Automation in Mumbai or Navi Mumbai, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert technical support to the sales team during pre-sales activities.
- Understanding client needs and delivering tailored, cost-effective BMS solutions.
- Assisting with technical sizing, product selection, and solution design.
- Collaborating with sales representatives and customers to present effective technical solutions.
- Participating in customer meetings and technical discussions to support deal closure.
- Handling post-sales technical support and issue resolution.
- Preparing accurate, timely technical and commercial quotations in coordination with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Tracking quotation outcomes including win rates and response times.
- Negotiating with vendors for competitive pricing and product availability.
- Reviewing and validating customer purchase orders.
- Ensuring purchase orders align with submitted offers and coordinating for necessary amendments.
- Handing over clean and complete orders to the Sales Operations Manager for execution.
- Working closely with internal teams (sales, operations, and engineering) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assisting dealers and regional managers in customer meetings and negotiations.
- Contributing to achieving and exceeding regional sales targets.
Qualifications and Skills required for this role:
- Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical disciplines.
- 2-5 years of experience in BMS, HVAC, or ELV systems.
- Strong technical background with a customer-first approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Knowledge of commercial terms and contract handling.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with PLC/DDC systems and BMS software applications, as well as prior experience with product sizing, equipment selection, and vendor management.
