Role Overview:
Teach For India is a movement aiming to end educational inequity in India and create a future free of poverty. As a BML Consultant at Firki, you will be responsible for managing a project to develop leaders who will transform the lives of children in low-income communities. This project-based role will involve designing and implementing programs for educators, conducting classroom observations, and ensuring high-quality interventions. Your work will contribute to the larger goal of cultivating 50,000 leaders by 2032.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Partnerships: Collaborate with city teams to recruit over 100 educators annually.
- Needs Assessment: Understand specific needs of teachers and school leaders to tailor training programs.
- Curriculum Alignment: Develop a learning curriculum aligned with educators' requirements.
- Operational Setup: Manage all logistics and operations for the program, including documentation and monitoring.
- Training Delivery: Execute programs ensuring high-quality instruction in batches or small groups.
- Classroom Observations: Provide feedback through regular class visits for teachers and school leaders.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary Project Manager for educators in the region.
- Alumni Engagement: Facilitate connections between alumni and educators through showcases.
- Assessment Management: Administer assessments and feedback forms for all sessions.
- Impact Tracking: Conduct interviews to assess program impact and compile reports.
- Documentation: Oversee the documentation of program outcomes and monitoring.
Qualifications Required:
- Undergraduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in content creation and supporting educators in professional development.
- Excellent communication skills in English and proficiency in a local regional language (Tamil/Kannada/Telugu/Hindi).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Understanding of curricula, training, coaching, and assessments.
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with strong partnership management skills.
