Job Description
Role Overview:
As the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance function of the company, including finance operations, treasury, taxation, compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, and strategic planning. Your role will require a strong background in infrastructure/EPC businesses with experience in multi-project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Group CFO in developing financial strategies aligned with the company's growth plans
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, project cost estimation, and long-term financial planning
- Conduct project-level financial analysis, optimize Project wise PnL and margins
- Monitor working capital and manage cash flow effectively
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Ind AS / Companies Act regulations
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance
- Manage internal and statutory audits
- Publish MIS/dashboard reports to the Group CFO/MD
- Manage direct and indirect taxation (GST, Income Tax, TDS)
- Ensure regulatory compliance across project locations
- Handle tax assessments and litigations
- Monitor financial risks across projects
- Review contract financial terms and commercial clauses
- Support claims management and cost control
- Lead and mentor finance teams at the head office and project sites
- Drive automation and ERP-based financial reporting
- Improve financial processes and efficiencies
Qualification Required:
- CA qualification is mandatory
- LLB qualification is preferred
Additional Company Details:
The ideal candidate should have 15-20 years of experience, with a minimum of 5-7 years in a senior finance leadership role. Strong exposure to the Infrastructure/EPC/Construction sector is essential, along with experience in companies with a turnover of 1,000 Cr+. Key competencies include a strong understanding of project accounting, expertise in treasury and banking management, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, strong leadership, stakeholder management, and experience with ERP systems.
