Chief Financial Officer

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Jeweles in Noida, you will play a crucial role in leading the overall finance function of the company. You will be responsible for ensuring financial discipline, compliance, and scalability while acting as a strategic business partner to the Founder/CEO and senior leadership. Your primary focus will be on driving sustainable growth, profitability, and investor confidence through strong financial governance. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Financial Strategy & Planning** - Develop and execute short-term and long-term financial strategies aligned with company objectives. - Support expansion plans including new stores, marketplaces, and digital growth. - Provide financial inputs on pricing, margins, channel mix, and product profitability. - **Financial Operations & Reporting** - Oversee accounting, book closure, and financial reporting processes. - Ensure timely and accurate preparation of: - Profit & Loss Statements - Balance Sheets - Cash Flow Statements - Establish strong monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS frameworks. - **Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control** - Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes. - Monitor budget vs actuals and conduct variance analysis. - Implement cost-control and efficiency initiatives without impacting growth. - **Cash Flow, Treasury & Banking** - Manage cash flow planning, working capital cycles, and fund utilization. - Maintain banking relationships and oversee credit facilities and payment gateways. - Plan investments and optimize capital allocation. - **Compliance, Taxation & Audit** - Ensure full statutory compliance including: - Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable laws - Manage statutory audit, tax audit, and internal audits. - Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities. - Proactively manage financial and compliance risks. - **Internal Controls, SOPs & Risk Management** - Design, implement, and monitor internal control systems and finance SOPs. - Establish corporate-level risk management frameworks. - Ensure segregation of duties, authorization matrices, and audit trails. - **Systems, ERP & Automation** - Lead ERP implementation and finance automation initiatives. - Improve process efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity. - Enable system-driven MIS and dashboard reporting. - **Business Performance & Analytics** - Analyze financial and operational performance. - Track key KPIs such as revenue growth, margins, inventory turnover, and ROI. - Provide actionable insights to leadership for strategic decisions. - **Team Leadership & Development** - Build, lead, and mentor the finance and accounts team. - Define roles, KRAs, and performance benchmarks. - Promote a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement. - **Investor Relations & Fundraising** - Manage investor communication and financial disclosures. - Support fundraising initiatives including financial modeling and due diligence. - Participate in board meetings and investor presentations. **Qualifications & Experience:** - **Educational Qualification** - CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent professional qualification. - **Experience** - 10+ years of experience in senior finance or leadership roles. - Experience in retail, consumer brands, D2C, or e-commerce preferred. **Skills & Competencies:** - Strong understanding of finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance. - Hands-on experience with ERP systems and financial tools. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. - Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to handle multiple priorities with high attention to detail.
