Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role Overview: As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at The/Nudge, you will play a crucial role in stewarding the organization's financial health, resilience, and integrity to support its growth and impact. You will act as a strategic partner to the Founder, leadership team, and Board, providing financial insights, robust systems, and strong governance. Your responsibilities will involve strategic finance leadership, financial planning, budgeting, reporting, governance, compliance, risk management, treasury and fund management, as well as building and leading finance, compliance, and legal teams. Key Responsibilities: - Provide strategic inputs on financial aspects of key organizational and programmatic decisions. - Enable data-driven decision-making by developing and presenting high-quality financial insights. - Partner with leadership and impact stream heads on new initiatives, pilots, and scale-up plans. - Drive organization-wide budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring processes. - Design and implement financial planning and reporting systems aligned with organizational growth. - Review and analyze monthly financial results, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions. - Ensure timely, accurate, and transparent reporting to internal and external stakeholders. - Ensure full compliance with applicable tax laws and oversee audits and regulatory reporting. - Manage organizational risk, legal affairs, contracts, and financial controls. - Manage funds and treasury operations to optimize risk, returns, and liquidity. - Establish controls for fund utilization, tracking, and reporting across multiple funding sources. - Build and scale strong finance, compliance, and legal teams aligned with the organization's culture. - Leverage technology to improve efficiency, transparency, and scalability of financial processes. Qualifications Required: - 20+ years of experience across startups and/or Tier-1 corporates, with significant leadership exposure. - Strong financial modeling, planning, and analytical skills. - Comfort with technology-enabled financial systems and process automation. - Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA. - Ability to thrive in a high-intensity, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment. - Collaborative, empathetic leadership style with the ability to influence across functions.
