Job Description
As a Principal Software Engineer in Security Research at Times Internet, you will play a crucial role in driving the design, architecture, and delivery of advanced security automation and AI-powered systems. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading end-to-end design, development, and deployment of internal security automation tools, dashboards, and analytics platforms.
- Architecting large-scale automation systems for SOC, incident response, and threat detection.
- Leading LLM orchestration, deployment, and benchmarking efforts across multiple applied security use cases.
- Integrating cloud, application, and infrastructure security into unified, scalable pipelines.
- Mentoring engineering teams on best practices for secure, automated, and resilient system design.
- Driving experimentation with AI/ML models for SOC analytics, anomaly detection, and automation.
- Prototyping, validating, and operationalizing AI-based threat simulation and response systems.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 9+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on security automation, AI systems, or platform engineering.
- Deep expertise in Python, Go, or equivalent languages with a proven ability to design distributed, fault-tolerant systems.
- Familiarity with SSDLC processes and secure software development practices.
- Experience or exposure to VAPT (Mobile, Web, API).
- Strong background in cloud-native security, Kubernetes, and IaC-based security architecture.
- Demonstrated success managing end-to-end engineering lifecycles from prototype to deployment for internal tools and automation frameworks.
- Experience with LLM-based systems, prompt orchestration, and model benchmarking in security contexts.
Good to have skills include knowledge of Active Directory, Red Teaming, or VAPT techniques, hands-on understanding of network and infrastructure security, experience with security analytics, threat intelligence, and ML-based anomaly detection, and contributions to open-source security research, tools, or publications.
Qualification required for this role is a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
