Job Description
As a candidate for the position, you will be responsible for various accounting functions on US clients' files, including but not limited to:
- Posting and reconciling Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Bank and Credit Card transactions, Payroll, and general Journal entries
- Preparing workpapers, accounting schedules, and extracting and preparing various management reports as per clients' needs
- Assisting on projects such as accounting clean-up, books rebuild, software migration, and account adjustments as required
- Learning new software and developing new technological skills necessary for accounting and financial reporting
- Adhering to deadlines for assigned tasks and keeping the reviewer updated on progress
- Self-reviewing work for accuracy and completeness to ensure a quality product before submission to the reviewer/manager
- Preparing SOP for assigned tasks and updating it regularly
- Adhering to the firm's internal policies, procedures, and controls
- Collaborating with both India-based and US-based staff to perform transactional activities, technical accounting activities, and reporting activities
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Fresh Chartered Accountant OR Masters with 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably US accounting
- Strong conceptual accounting knowledge
- Familiarity with software/applications such as Excel, Word, QBO, Xero, SAGE, NetSuite, Yardi, etc.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Self-starter, highly collaborative, creative, outgoing, and possessing strong financial analysis, modeling, and valuation skills
- Qualitative and quantitative research and analytical abilities
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions, and demonstrate excellent work ethics
Additionally, you are expected to comply with Firm/BPO department policies, use downtime effectively, and comply with the Firm's CPE requirement. You should be well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely completion.
