Azure Data Engineering Consultant

As a Data Engineer at Infosys Consulting, you will be part of a specialized customer-facing Advanced Analytics team in the rapidly expanding Automation & Artificial Intelligence Consulting Practice. You will collaborate closely with AI Consultants and Subject Matter Experts to define and deliver best-in-class solutions. Your role will be crucial in helping clients identify and leverage automation opportunities to unlock business value and maintain a competitive edge. **Responsibilities:** - Establish productive and long-lasting working relationships with a variety of stakeholders through effective communication skills. - Lead data pipeline design, demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail to address business challenges effectively. - Navigate through a diverse range of Data Engineer tools and emerging technologies while addressing IT, compliance, and security concerns. - Design and implement top-notch technology solutions to solve business problems across multiple client engagements. - Coordinate with other teams to grasp business requirements, client infrastructure, platforms, and strategies for seamless project execution. - Collaborate with AI experts to develop cutting-edge solutions and shape AI strategy. - Demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills, logical structuring, and expertise in database management to translate data insights into actionable strategies. - Exhibit proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills. **Requirements:** - 7 - 18 years of Python data engineering experience. - Proficiency in Developing Data Pipelines using Python, PySpark, Pandas, etc., on Azure. - Experience in building ETL, OLAP, and Analytical Applications. - Skilled in ingesting batch and streaming data from diverse sources. - Strong command over writing complex SQL queries using RDBMS such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc. - Ability to quickly grasp complex applications and architectures. - Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Brick, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure DWH, Azure Data Lake Storage / Analytics, Azure Database Migration Services. - Proficiency in DevOps and CD/CD tools, including Rest APIs. - Clear and concise communication skills. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and GIT for code management. - Comfortable working in Agile project environments. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
