As the AVP, Evergreen Data Product Owner at Synchrony, you will play a crucial role in advancing the development and management of curated, model-ready data assets. Your responsibilities will include: - Engaging regularly with model developers, validators, and risk stakeholders to understand their evolving data needs for model development, monitoring, and governance. - Driving the vision and execution of model operations data products, including curated model datasets, metadata standards, and integration with Model Lifecycle Operations pipelines. - Partnering with various functions to identify, define, and prioritize use cases requiring model-ready data. - Participating in PI Planning sessions and Agile ceremonies to align model operations data features with enterprise goals and dependencies. - Coordinating end-to-end product delivery by collaborating with data engineering, information architecture, and cloud platform teams. - Ensuring model operations data assets comply with internal data governance, metadata, lineage, and regulatory requirements. - Tracking and reporting project and program status, deliverables, and value realization. - Driving continuous improvement in the availability, explainability, and auditability of curated data assets. - Anticipating, escalating, and resolving cross-team risks, dependencies, and delivery blockers. - Facilitating alignment with technical teams when dependencies impact modeling data services. - Writing and prioritizing features and user stories with a clear understanding of stakeholder perspectives and business value. - Regularly refining backlog items to ensure clarity, alignment, and readiness for development. - Clarifying product requirements and ensuring delivery meets agreed expectations. - Overseeing UAT in partnership with ML Ops Developers and leading post-production validation. - Creating and maintaining standardized functional documentation for each feature in collaboration with the Data Office. - Performing any other duties or special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or data-focused field with 7+ years of experience OR 9+ years of experience in program or product management. - Experience in managing programs or products, defining business needs, and working in data integration and modeling environments. - Agile or Product Owner certification. - Broad understanding of credit risk, fraud, marketing analytics, or consumer lending data environments. - Experience with large-scale data ecosystems, cloud platforms, and metadata management tools. Desired Skills: - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. - Advanced critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities. - Strong project management and leadership skills. - Ability to share knowledge effectively and provide actionable coaching. - Strong business acumen and familiarity with model governance frameworks. - Technical experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Eligibility Criteria: - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, technical, or data-focused field with 7+ years of experience OR 9+ years of experience in program or product management. Work Timings: 2 PM - 11 PM IST with availability required between 06:00 AM - 11:30 AM Eastern Time for meetings with India and US teams. You will have the flexibility to work from home or Regional Engagement Hubs in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata, or Delhi/NCR. Occasionally, travel to Hyderabad or one of the Regional Engagement Hubs may be required for in-person engagement activities.
