Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for writing and executing automation and manual Test Scripts/Cases using Python or JAVA, Big Data, JIRA, Kafka, ETL, JMeter, Rest Assured, Ready API, and SOAP UI. Your expertise in software test automation with various testing tools is essential for ensuring regression coverage for ETL jobs. Additionally, your proficiency in Java and/or Python will be crucial for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Develop automated tests to ensure regression coverage for ETL jobs. - Write and execute manual application-level test cases and procedures, and analyze the results. - Review and analyze application specifications/requirements. - Report defects and collaborate with developers to resolve them. - Contribute to creating project test plans, scenarios, and data that meet project requirements and organizational quality standards. - Work closely with product owners and developers to align delivery priorities with business objectives. - Understand QA and release processes. - Utilize test case management tools such as JIRA. - Collaborate in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision. - Continuously learn and adapt to new tools that expedite testing. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in Java and/or Python. - Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle. - Experience with Test Complete, Protractor, Selenium, JMeter, Rest Assured, Ready API, SoapUI, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Gherkin /Cucumber. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective technical communication with testers, developers, and product owners. - Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving aptitude. - Quick grasp of technical information and requirements. - Excellent planning and organization skills with a commitment to meeting deadlines. - Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, adapting to specific instructions for each project.
