Job Description
As a member of the Corporate Strategy and Development Group at BlackRock, you will play a crucial role in analyzing industry trends and providing insights to support the firm's response to external industry dynamics. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing trends from industry data and reporting across the global asset management industry, covering Mutual Funds, ETFs, and Alternatives across all client segments
- Taking ownership of assigned monthly reporting cycles and BAU processes, while identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency enhancements
- Supporting Market Intelligence leads on global or regional industry and competitor projects
- Collaborating with regional Corporate Strategy teams on competitor updates and strategy initiatives
- Upholding the team's position as the authority on external data and cross-industry intelligence
- Building and maintaining relationships with business groups to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a deep understanding of BlackRock's own business
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelors/Masters degree with a background in Finance, along with 4-6 years of work experience, preferably in asset management, research, or consulting
- Working knowledge of the investment management industry and a keen interest in broader financial markets
- Familiarity with industry data sources such as Broadridge, Morningstar, and S&P Capital IQ would be advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a track record of handling large datasets and summarizing findings into concise written briefs and presentations
- Ability to work independently and deliver stakeholder-ready content under minimal direct supervision
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior executives
