As a Security Operations Center Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security posture and protecting the organization from cyber threats. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities and qualifications:
**Role Overview:**
You will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security logs from various applications and devices, ensuring timely response to security incidents, and collaborating with the IT Security team to enhance the overall security infrastructure.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Possess process and technical knowledge of SIEM tools such as Qradar, LogRhythm, AlienVault, Splunk, etc. (L2/L3 level is advantageous)
- Demonstrate expertise in AV tools like Symantec, McAfee, Trend Micro, etc. (L2/L3 level is advantageous)
- Manage Vulnerability tools and lead remediation efforts
- Review security logs and escalate incidents as necessary
- Enforce incident response SLAs
- Analyze, test, and recommend security tools
- Create operational reports for IT management
- Participate in cybersecurity meetings and tasks
- Stay updated on IT security trends
- Develop security standards and best practices
- Recommend security enhancements to management
- Document security breaches and assess their impact
- Adhere to company's core values and Code of Ethics
- Report quality problems to senior management
**Qualifications:**
- B. Tech, B.E or M.C.A degree
- 2-5 years of experience in a Security Operations Center
- Minimum of 2 years in the computer industry
- Proficiency in complex Windows environments
- Knowledge of security frameworks like NIST 800-53/NIST 800-171/ISO27001
- Experience in designing and administering security tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
