Job Description
Role Overview:
You will be a part of the FX Commodities & Settlement IT team within Global Markets IT at BNP Paribas. Your main responsibility will be to play a critical role in the development, testing, and support of the Foreign Exchange Options booking platform for internal banking users. You will design, enhance, and maintain high-performance applications, troubleshoot Level 3 issues, and collaborate with Project Managers for seamless delivery of development milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development team in designing, coding, and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions that meet business needs.
- Propose innovative solutions and approaches, including impact analysis, to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient, standard-compliant systems.
- Drive software quality through Unit, System, and Integration testing, leveraging automation and best practices.
- Enforce SDLC and risk management standards, ensuring documentation, planning, and timely execution.
- Provide Level 3 application support, troubleshooting production issues and guiding L1/L2 teams on resolutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (upstream/downstream) to ensure smooth project delivery and system integration.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education level
- 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role
- Strong hands-on coding skills and expertise in system design
- Experience in financial systems, trading platforms, or risk management is a plus
- Proficiency in technical skills such as C#, .Net/.Net Core, ASP.Net, MVC, Web API, WCF/Web services, Angular 7+, Oracle, Database knowledge, SOA/microservices
- Behavioral skills including ability to collaborate, attention to detail, communication skills (oral & written), and results-driven attitude
