Assistant IT project Manager

As an IT Head for the Media Industry at VAS India Consulting, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple on-premise software development projects across .NET, Node.js, Flutter mobile applications, and legacy VB (Visual Basic) systems. Your role will involve hands-on project leadership, requirement gathering, team coordination, and familiarity with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB. Your willingness to contribute to coding and technical tasks will be considered a strong advantage. Key Responsibilities: - Project Management - Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, delivery, and maintenance for multiple on-premise systems. - Manage development projects using .NET, Node.js, Flutter, and VB legacy applications. - Create project roadmaps, schedules, and resource plans. - Track project progress and ensure timely delivery within quality standards. - Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies. - Team Leadership - Manage a multi-disciplinary team of developers, testers, and support engineers. - Assign tasks based on skills, availability, and project needs. - Conduct sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and periodic reviews. - Mentor team members and support skill development. - Technical Oversight - Strong understanding of application development in: - .NET (Core & Framework) - Node.js - Flutter - VB/VB6 legacy systems - Oversee integration, workflows, and system architecture. - Review technical designs and provide guidance on best practices. - Optional but beneficial: Assist with coding, debugging, and prototyping when needed. - Requirement Gathering & Coordination - Collect requirements from various departments and translate them into actionable technical tasks. - Communicate project updates, progress, and issues to management and stakeholders. - Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution.
