As an Application Engineering Technical Lead - II at EY, you will play a crucial role in integrating and implementing technologies while leveraging your deep backend expertise to optimize performance, ensure secure architecture, and enhance system scalability. Your responsibilities will include: - Serving as the technical owner and enforcer of Mobile COE best practices and standards. - Ensuring architectural consistency with the rest of the enterprise mobile app. - Mentoring junior iOS engineers and guiding platform-aligned designs. - Reviewing and validating technical designs for consistency across teams. - Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to platform policies. - Acting as a key technical liaison with stakeholders, effectively communicating technical implications, project risks, and solution strategies. - Maintaining expertise in IT methodologies, architecture design, and enterprise standards. - Reviewing, authoring, and approving technical documentation and architecture diagrams. - Driving continuous improvement in technical standards, methodologies, and the adoption of emerging technologies. - Ensuring compliance with IT and Information Security policies. - Leading or contributing to special projects and cross-functional initiatives. - Troubleshooting complex system performance issues and recommending improvements for optimized data flow across services and APIs. - Ensuring scalable and resilient backend functionality with proactive measures for increased system demands. In terms of technical skills, you should have expertise in: - Language expertise: Swift (primary language), ideally also familiar with Objective C. - UI frameworks: SwiftUI, UIKit. - Concurrency / Modern architecture: Swift Combine. - Serving as the architectural decision-makers for their domains. - Model best practices in design, DevSecOps, test automation, and code quality. As a Tech Lead, you will be expected to: - Be seen as a leader of the team and a strong partner to the triad (PM + DM + TL). - Influence backlog prioritization, work allocation, and tech direction. - Mentor junior developers and help build technical talent. - Be "owners of the platform" identifying tech debt, performance issues, and non-functional needs. To qualify for this role, you must have: - Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Applications, or Masters in Computer Applications. - Hands-on experience with Agile, Confluence, JIRA, and monitoring and refining dashboards. - Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize system performance. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Experience in mentoring teams, establishing technical standards, and driving continuous process improvement.
