Job Description
Role Overview:
You will be part of the ELV Systems Presales Engineering team within India Sales Support CoE at Johnson Controls. Your primary responsibility will involve working on end-to-end presales engineering activities for Fire and Security opportunities within India, catering to various verticals. You will be handling techno-commercial activities of projects covering different ELV systems such as Fire Alarm System, CCTV Surveillance & Security System, Access Control System, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project inputs and project intake form shared by the Front desk/Sales.
- Analyze requirements and initiate the Kick-off call with Front Desk after getting CoE SFDC Code and time frame.
- Prepare designs on given floor plans to arrive with the BOQ if unavailable.
- Identify potential issues/risks and proactively communicate with the customer to mitigate risks.
- Initiate discussions with OEMs & subcontractors to obtain the right solution and proposal.
- Analyze proposals and commercials received from the OEM, verifying based on past data and benchmark costing.
- Prepare optimized techno-commercial Costing sheet, Proposal, and Compliance Statements.
- Perform Self QC and get 2nd level QC done by the Delivery Manager before submitting deliverables to the Front Desk.
- Update the SFDC regularly, complete timesheets & assigned training on time.
- Actively negotiate and follow up with OEMs and Internal OPS/Post Sales team for project pricing.
- Participate in Daily Call/Cadence Call with the business team.
- Derive strategies for increasing the win rate and align with Organization KPIs.
Qualifications Required:
- BE in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication.
- 6+ years of relevant experience in ELV Systems domains.
- Strong knowledge of ELV & ICT Systems including Fire Alarm System, CCTV, Access Control, PAVA, and more.
- Presales and estimation experience on India projects across various verticals.
- Design know-how of ELV & ICT Systems and capability in product selections.
- Proficiency in complex costing sheets covering Material, Engineering, Operations, and Subcon costs.
- Articulate offered solutions in structured technical proposal documents.
- Strong network with 3rd party vendors in India.
- Quick learner, keen on problem-solving techniques, and a good team player.
