You will be joining the Global Investment Manager Analysis (GIMA) team at Morgan Stanley, where you will be responsible for overseeing a team of investment analysts. Your main focus will be on conducting investment due diligence on alternative investment funds and managers, as well as monitoring existing relationships. Here is a detailed breakdown of your role: **Role Overview:** In this role, you will manage a team of investment analysts and collaborate with them to conduct due diligence on various alternative investment strategies, including private equity, private credit, private real assets, and hedge funds. You will also participate in meetings with alternative investment managers, prepare research reports and commentaries, and analyze managers based on their investment process, track record, and risk management capabilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage a team of investment analysts and conduct initial and ongoing due diligence on alternative investment strategies. - Attend alternative investment manager meetings, take meeting notes, and prepare written research reports. - Analyze managers in terms of their investment process, track record, and risk management capabilities. - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the GIMA Alternatives Mumbai team and ensure ongoing due diligence. - Interact with internal teams such as Operational Due Diligence, Product Management, Sales, Legal, and Compliance. - Support a collaborative team environment, train and mentor junior team members, and stay updated on market trends and regulatory matters. **Qualifications Required:** - 9+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on alternative investments. - Managerial experience is preferred. - Knowledge of various alternative investment strategies. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Analytical and quantitative skills. - Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities. - Undergraduate degree required; CFA, CPA, and/or CAIA viewed favorably.
