AEM Forms Backend Developer

As an AEM Forms Backend Developer at Maneva, you will be responsible for designing and developing backend capabilities for AEM Adaptive Forms. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and developing backend capabilities for AEM Adaptive Forms, including Form Data Models (FDM), data integrations, and form submission services. - Implementing OSGi services, Sling Models, servlets, and configurations to support complex form use cases and reusable backend patterns. - Building and maintaining AEM Workflows for orchestration and approvals, including workflow models, custom workflow steps, and scripting using ECMA. - Integrating AEM Forms with enterprise platforms such as CRM, Core Banking, ERP, BPM, and case management using REST and SOAP. - Implementing and supporting AEM Forms Document Services, including PDF generation, data extraction, and output services. - Enforcing security and compliance requirements such as PII masking, encryption, secure storage/transport, audit logging, and role-based access controls. - Engineering resilient form processing by implementing error handling, retry patterns, Idempotency, and complete audit trails for submissions and workflow transitions. - Collaborating with architecture, security, and governance teams to align with enterprise standards and reference patterns. - Supporting SIT/UAT and production releases including defect triage, root cause analysis, and performance tuning. - Producing technical documentation for integrations, workflows, and operational runbooks. Qualifications required for this role: - Strong hands-on experience with AEM Forms on JEE or AEM Forms as a Cloud Service, including Adaptive Forms runtime and deployment considerations. - Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, JCR, and AEM fundamentals. - Proven expertise in Form Data Model (FDM), data source configuration, and backend service modeling. - Experience with AEM Workflows and Forms-centric workflow patterns. - Strong RESTful integration experience with robust JSON/XML handling. - Experience implementing enterprise authentication patterns such as OAuth, JWT, SAML. - Exposure to CI/CD and release governance practices including build pipelines, quality gates, branching, and promotion models.
