Job Description
As an Adv Engineer QE (Performance Quality Engineer) at Invesco, you will play a key role in driving performance engineering excellence across product and platform teams. Your responsibilities will include providing technical leadership in performance testing, workload modeling, and performance tuning. You will lead hands-on performance engagements, apply expertise in various protocols, and drive performance baselining practices. Additionally, you will execute a full range of non-functional tests and monitor application logs to identify bottlenecks and anomalies. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, automating performance tests, and ensuring performance testing aligns with business requirements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide technical leadership in performance testing, workload modeling, performance tuning, and non-functional requirement validation.
- Lead hands-on performance engagements including scenario creation, script development, execution, and analysis.
- Apply expertise in TrueClient protocol, Oracle NCA, Citrix, RDP, and SAP Web protocols.
- Drive performance baselining, workload modeling, and shift-left performance practices.
- Execute a full range of non-functional tests and monitor application logs for performance issues.
- Publish performance test results, reports, and dashboards.
- Develop and optimize performance scripts, automated performance tests, and CI/CD-integrated performance gates.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps/SRE, and product teams to incorporate performance considerations early in the lifecycle.
- Participate in framework maintenance and contribute to test automation practices.
- Ensure performance testing aligns with business requirements and system goals.
**Qualification Required:**
- 4+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing.
- Extensive hands-on experience with NeoLoad, LoadRunner Professional/Enterprise/Cloud, and TrueClient protocol.
- Strong understanding of performance engineering principles, workload and scenario design, and browser-level and protocol-level performance testing.
- Proficiency with monitoring tools such as New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics.
- Knowledge of version control, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and defect tracking systems.
