Job Description
As a detail-oriented Chartered Accountant with 13 years of experience (Post Qualification) and a Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI Member), your role will involve managing financial accounting, payroll operations, and statutory compliance. Your expertise in financial reporting, taxation, payroll management, and regulatory compliance will be essential for ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Management:
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing for employees.
- Ensure accurate gross-to-net salary calculations.
- Manage bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, and leave encashment.
- Handle Full & Final (F&F) settlements for exiting employees.
- Verify employee tax declarations and investment proofs.
- Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure timely compliance with payroll and taxation regulations including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and Labour Welfare Fund.
- Additional responsibilities include filing TDS on salary (Form 24Q) and issuing Form 16 to employees.
- Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Manage General Ledger and financial accounting processes.
- Prepare and finalize Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and P&L statements.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
- Manage Income Tax and GST filings.
- Ensure timely statutory and internal audit compliance.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Financial Analysis & Strategy:
- Perform variance analysis and financial reporting.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Implement internal financial controls (IFC) to reduce financial risk.
- KPI Monitoring & Process Optimization:
- Track and improve financial KPIs such as payroll accuracy, financial reporting timelines, and tax efficiency.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI Member) with 13 years post qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act & Labor Laws.
- Experience with Payroll Systems / ERP tools such as Zoho Payroll, GreytHR, RazorpayX, and other Accounting ERP systems.
- Solid understanding of financial reporting standards, payroll compliance, and corporate taxation.
Success Metrics:
- Performance in this role will be measured based on accuracy (error-free financial and payroll reporting), compliance (100% statutory compliance with no penalties), efficiency (faster financial closing cycles), and strategic insight (ability to convert financial data into actionable business insights).
