3D Motion Graphics Artist

You are applying for the position of a skilled motion-graphics animator-3D to join the marketing team at JoVE, a world-leading producer and provider of science video solutions with a mission to improve scientific research and education. With a rapidly growing presence in over 60 countries, JoVE is looking for talented and ambitious individuals to contribute to their success. **Responsibilities:** - Translate voiceover and storyboards into animation deliverables - Modify animation assets as needed for animation - Organize project files and ensure proper layer labeling based on production guidelines - Respond professionally to the critique on your work and address that feedback promptly - Collaborate with team members to maintain a unified look and feel of our products - Attend regular team meetings and share ideas to improve production **Qualifications:** - High proficiency in 3D Animation, particularly in After Effects with compositing skills, animation key-framing, advanced effect utilization, and simple expressions - High proficiency in Illustrator to create vector graphics as animation assets - Knowledge in artistic theory, such as line, value, perspective, proportion, composition, and color theory - Familiarity with video production workflows and ability to meet tight deadlines - Eager team-player open to receiving constructive feedback on multiple projects simultaneously - Reliable commitment and work ethic - Ability to work independently with little direction - High attention to detail and careful project organization In your cover letter, please include links to your current portfolio and/or a reel displaying editing, compositing, and motion-graphics proficiency. *As part of the interview process, you will be asked to complete an animation test to evaluate your organization and animation skills.
