Wordpress Designer

You will be responsible for designing and implementing visually engaging WordPress websites that meet client requirements. This includes developing custom WordPress themes and plugins as needed and ensuring a seamless user experience by working closely with the development team. Additionally, you will maintain and update existing websites, optimizing them for speed, performance, and SEO. Other responsibilities include optimizing websites for mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility, implementing on-page SEO best practices in collaboration with marketing teams, ensuring website security and regular backups, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to website design, performance, and functionality, and staying up to date with the latest trends in web design and WordPress development. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience in designing and developing WordPress websites. - Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. - Proficiency with popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Gutenberg. - Experience working with custom themes and plugins. - Knowledge of website performance optimization and SEO best practices. - Familiarity with website analytics tools like Google Analytics. - Understanding of website security best practices. - Attention to detail and a keen eye for design aesthetics. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - A portfolio showcasing previous WordPress design and development work is required. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with eCommerce platforms like WooCommerce. - Familiarity with version control systems like Git. - Basic knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, and Figma. - Experience with website migrations or upgrades. - Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
