Job Description
As a Proxy Engineer/Proxy PAC File Engineer, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining Proxy PAC (Proxy Auto-Configuration) files for enterprise environments. You will be responsible for managing and supporting proxy routing logic for web traffic across corporate networks. Troubleshooting proxy, PAC, and browser connectivity issues across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems will be a key part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will collaborate with security and network teams to implement URL filtering, access policies, and exceptions. Your tasks will also include performing testing and validation of PAC changes to prevent user impact, supporting change management, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis, and maintaining documentation, SOPs, and version control for PAC files. Providing Level 2 / Level 3 support for proxy-related incidents will also be part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Proxy PAC files for enterprise environments
- Manage and support proxy routing logic for web traffic across corporate networks
- Troubleshoot proxy, PAC, and browser connectivity issues on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
- Collaborate with security and network teams to implement URL filtering, access policies, and exceptions

Qualifications Required:
- 38 years of experience working with Proxy services and PAC files
- Strong understanding of DNS and TCP/IP
- Hands-on experience with PAC scripting (JavaScript)
- Experience with enterprise proxy solutions (Blue Coat / Symantec, Zscaler, Squid, McAfee, etc.)
