Job Description
As a Vice President Accounting Operations at our leading firm in the Accounting Offshoring / KPO / US Accounting Services industry, your role will involve strategic leadership in managing our US Accounting Portfolio. You will be responsible for client relationship ownership, portfolio P&L management, revenue growth & client upgrades, operational excellence, and leadership development. This is a growth-oriented operations leadership position where you will manage approximately 100 team members across various services and directly lead 810 Engagement Managers.
**Responsibilities:**
- Own a portfolio of US accounting firm clients and build Partner / CXO-level relationships.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and act as an escalation authority for strategic accounts.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts and drive seat expansion and service upgrades.
- Manage utilisation, realization, and capacity planning to ensure strong portfolio-level gross margins.
- Directly manage 810 Engagement Managers and oversee ~100 team members to build second-line leadership within the EM layer.
- Travel to the US for client meetings, represent the organization at conferences, and align offshore delivery to US accounting firm expectations.
**Qualifications:**
- Education: CPA (US) or CA (India) (Preferably look for CPA).
- Experience: 812 years in Accounting Offshoring / KPO / Global Delivery with experience managing large US accounting firm portfolios and 80150 team members.
- Strong exposure to QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, US GAAP, and experience in handling client P&L and profitability.
**Required Skills:**
- Active US Visa (B1/B2 or equivalent) and prior US travel experience.
- Strong executive presence, commercial acumen, and revenue mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to scale teams and portfolios.
**Preferred Skills:**
- Client-first leader, commercially sharp, and calm under pressure.
- Strategic thinker with execution strength and mentor who builds future leaders.
- Data-driven decision maker.
