Job Description
In this role as a Treasury Manager at Wells Fargo, you will be responsible for managing and developing a team that conducts complex analytics on components of companywide key treasury finance metrics. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the monitoring and evaluation of global market conditions, funding, asset and liability management, liquidity risk management, capital management, financial performance management, and related activities.
- Ensuring data quality and establishing controlled processes.
- Participating in industry and peer groups to influence the standard setting process.
- Leading implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business.
- Understanding and ensuring compliance and risk management requirements for the supported area are met and working with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
- Collaborating and influencing professionals at all levels, including more experienced managers.
- Leading the team to achieve objectives.
- Managing the allocation of people and financial resources for Treasury.
- Mentoring and guiding talent development of direct reports and assisting in hiring talent.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- 4+ years of Treasury experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 2+ years of leadership experience.
Desired qualifications include:
- CA, CFA, FRM, MBA.
- Knowledge about new age automation tools, SQL, Power Bi, Alteryx, Python, or Power Bi is an advantage.
As a Treasury Manager, you will be expected to act as an advisor to Treasury, accounting, and Business Line management on matters related to corporate treasury and related financial management. You will review funding, cash and liquidity, treasury, stress testing, interest rate risk in the Banking book, and ALM. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Providing overall advisory on treasury finance and risk strategies.
- Leading targeted projects, including guiding other teammates.
- Collaborating with Internal Audit, Corporate Risk Management, Model Governance teams, as well as outside parties, including regulatory agencies, accounting, and consulting firms.
- Making recommendations to more experienced group members and management.
- Interacting with internal customers.
- Receiving direction from leaders and exercising independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Driving transformation through knowledge about new age tools.
