Job Description

As a Software Engineer at our company, you will have the opportunity to design, produce, test, and implement working software across the lifecycle of the system. This critical role offers the chance to hone your existing software engineering skills and advance your career, at the vice president level. **Key Responsibilities:** - Work in a permanent feature team to develop knowledge of the associated platform across various disciplines - Liaise with principal engineers, architects, and key stakeholders to understand the platform and its alignment with business objectives - Apply Agile methods to software development on the backlog - Produce resilient and long-lived software while adapting flexibly to future needs - Deliver intentional architecture and emergent design through innovative ideas and prototyping - Design and develop software focusing on automation of build, test, and deployment activities **Qualifications Required:** - Strong full stack experience in software design and implementation, with proficiency in programming languages for solving complex problems - Ability to perform complex requirements analysis and validation against business and systems requirements - 15+ years of experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, with extensive retail banking and ATM systems experience - Modernization & Integration Skills, including building and consuming APIs, applying microservices patterns, and conducting PoCs using mixed technologies - Technical Leadership & Delivery Ownership in leading projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and guiding teams through design and implementation phases - Experience in implementing programming best practices related to scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance - Collaboration skills to work with business teams and produce pragmatic solutions - Knowledge of information security policies and practices within the financial sector - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to convey complex technical concepts clearly Please note that the job posting closes on 30/03/2026 and the experience level required is Executive Level.
