Job Description
As an ideal candidate for this role, you should hold a preferred secondary/university graduate degree in Business, Compliance, Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience would be valuable. Possessing relevant industry qualifications such as CISA, CISM, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, CRISC, CISSP, CISI, IMC, CFA, or IAPP certifications would be advantageous.
Your experience should include a minimum of 5-7 years in the financial industry, with at least 3-5 years specifically in Information Security Audit or a Control role, preferably within a large bank, financial institution, public accounting firm, or regulatory body. Familiarity with Risk and Compliance frameworks/domains, compliance testing, control testing, and internal audit processes would be beneficial. Experience in building AI solutions and automating control testing is preferred. You should have a proven track record of independently managing compliance testing or audit processes under tight deadlines, along with strong analytical skills for identifying and distilling relevant information.
In addition to the technical qualifications and experience, you should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder management and leadership presence. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and proactively address challenges is crucial. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for collaboration across different stakeholders. You should have a sound risk awareness and be able to apply outcome-focused regulations while considering commercial pressures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within deadlines are essential. You should also be capable of training and mentoring junior team members on compliance testing methodologies and systems, as well as demonstrating problem-solving, critical thinking, and developing practical solutions.
