Job Description
As a member of the Alternative Investment team at Goldman Sachs, your primary focus will be on supporting all trading, booking, and reconciliation of Alternatives Investment products for Private Wealth Management clients. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with product sponsors to develop support models for new product offerings, process asset servicing events, and provide subject matter expertise and testing support for a large transformation/business growth program. Key business deliverables include optimizing workflows around new product offerings and digitizing all alternative documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and guidance to Alternative Investments Operations and Business Engagement teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective support for trade booking, settlement, reconciliation processes, while utilizing ad-hoc reporting to enhance transparency and mitigate risk
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Technology, Business, and other Operation stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, particularly those associated with Alternative Investment Products
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance for trade support functions, empowering Private Wealth Management Sales Team
- Lead escalations, manage high-priority inquiries, and serve as the central business liaison for internal client requests and communications, driving productivity-enhancing solutions
- Strategically lead regional team expansion and development, ensuring robust team management and operational integrity
Qualifications Required:
- Possess a bachelor's degree and 9-10 years of progressive financial services operations experience, with strong specialization in Alternative Investments or Private Wealth Management Operations
- Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams, including direct reports while cultivating a collaborative and results-driven culture
- Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in identifying root causes and implementing scalable solutions
- Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills, adept at articulating complex issues clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to strategically manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment under pressure, and successfully lead complex operational initiatives from conception to completion
- Unwavering commitment to establishing and maintaining robust quality controls, proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks, and designing comprehensive risk governance frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of financial markets, trade execution, booking, and settlement
- Proven experience leveraging Business Intelligence (BI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for efficiency and insights
